VARSITY HEAD COACH

CHRISTIE MITCHELL began coaching her two kids youth teams in 2001 and continued through 2015. During those 15 years she coached countless teams in soccer, basketball, baseball, softball and lacrosse. Having experience coaching each of the different sports has enabled her to transfer the key principles and skills necessary to be successful for one sport, to the next. In 2010, her daughter began playing lacrosse and Christie was hooked on this great sport right from the Start! She quickly became a student of the game, became Level 1 and 2 certified, and then coached the Wilsonville Youth Lacrosse 7/8 team in 2013 and 2014. She helped lead those teams to two state championship appearances, winning the OGYLA State Championship in 2014. In 2016, she was the Varsity Assistant Coach & JV Head coach at Tualatin High School.

VARSITY ASSISTANT COACH

LEE ATKINSON began coaching Tualatin Girls Youth Lacrosse in 2011, helping kick start the growth of the youth girls program, moving that program from one team of nine girls, to four teams of 63 girls when he left. He took a year off when his daughter Alexis entered Tualatin High School, but saw an opportunity to get back into something he truly loves, coaching lacrosse. Lee has Level 1 and 2 coaching endorsements and is an Accredited Interscholastic Lacrosse Coach. He will be assisting on defense at the Varsity level.
